UFM Community Enrichment Classroom Spaces
UFM hosts a variety of creative educational spaces to provide local programmatic support across the lifespan. Instructors are able to select their top classroom spaces before the semester begins, and we do our best to accommodate their requests. Please connect with UFM staff for recommendations about your specific class and/or meeting space needs. Most community classroom spaces have a TV and hookups for a laptop as well as a speaker for online meetings and PowerPoint presentations. UFM instructors are required to bring their own laptop, and Wifi is available throughout the UFM and Solar Addition buildings.
Base Floor
The base floor has three designated classroom spaces: the Teaching and Learning Room (Space capacity: 12-26), the Kitchen and Dining Room (Space capacity: 8-10), and the Game Burrow Room (Space capacity: 6-13). There are chairs and tables accessible for every room. The Teaching and Learning room is a versatile space accommodating 12-26 community members. It is an ideal place for arts and crafts, lectures, and even recreational time. The Kitchen and Dining Room accommodate around 8-10 people to explore fun foods and other culinary arts activities. Instructors also explore food demoing here. The Game Burrow has a space capacity of 6-13. Instructors can help students play board games, have duals, and create their favorite gaming character here. *Please note that the closest restroom is on the second floor.

First Floor: Solar Addition and Main UFM Building

The Solar Addition has one classroom space: The Main Floor and adjacent Greenhouse. The Greenhouse (Space Capacity: 5-13) and the Main Room (Space Capacity: 10-24). If you have a green thumb or if you’re working on it, the Greenhouse space is for you! Students can learn about flower arrangements and how to start seedlings for a garden here in a climate-controlled environment. The Solar Addition Main Room is one of our most sought-after learning spaces and is a great place for yoga, regular class instruction with tables and chairs available, as well as community workshops and lectures. Instructors often use this space for art as there is a sink and counter space as well as daytime natural light. The Solar Addition has a TV and hookups for a laptop as well as a speaker for zoom meetings and PowerPoint presentations.
The UFM Main Building has the Fireplace Room (Space Capacity: 20-30) and QLC (“click”) (Space Capacity: 10-13). The Fireplace Room is great for larger gatherings and is often reserved for community events and community workshops. QLC is often used for crafting and music classes along with recreational activities. It is a multipurpose room with many windows with daytime natural lighting. Both spaces have a TV and hookups for a laptop f/or zoom meetings and PowerPoint presentations.
*Fireplace Room: Please note for that the closest restroom is in the Solar Addition Main Room or on the second floor of UFM.
*There is a restroom located in QLC for easy access.
** The Solar Addition and the Fireplace Room are our only two zero-entry wheelchair accessible classroom locations.
Second Floor: UFM Conference Room
The Second Floor of UFM has one community learning space for classroom instruction and more formal meetings: The Conference Room (Space Capacity: 12-16). The Conference Room has a TV and hookups for a laptop as well as a speaker for zoom meetings and PowerPoint presentations.
