The Manhattan Area Risk Prevention Coalition (MARPC) works to build a healthier, safer community through substance use prevention and education. Supported by a federal Drug-Free Communities grant, MARPC brings together local partners to reduce youth substance use and promote positive choices.

In collaboration with USD 383 and school drug and alcohol counselors, we provide education and support directly to students. MARPC also partners with Fort Riley and a variety of community organizations to strengthen prevention efforts across the region.

Our outreach includes radio and cable campaigns that raise awareness and encourage families to talk openly about the risks of drug and alcohol use. We also work closely with local liquor outlets to promote responsible practices and community education.

Together, we’re creating a community where prevention starts at home and grows through strong local partnerships.
