African Dance Fitness
African Dance Fitness is a unique style of fitness that is derived from African cultural dance movements from across the continent. It is a low impact – high intensity dance cardio workout coupled with energetic body isolations. It is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. This class is a 60 minute workout consisting of a warm up, conditioning segment, and cool down/stretch all done to the rhythms of Africa and the Caribbean.

Dance Fitness
Dance fitness is a class that will focus on hip hop, Latin, and more fun dance moves that are simple and have been choreographed to music. This cardio dance workout will help you build confidence, endurance, and spatial awareness. The class consists of energetic and fun routines that feature easily interpreted choreography for all levels of dancers.

Meditation & Movement
This course will assist participants to develop a daily habit of meditation along with bodily movement. This whole person approach to renewal builds skills needed to mitigate stress and anxiety, improve self-awareness, and revitalize self-perception and body image. The mat-based stretching, strengthening, balance, and functional exercises facilitate physiological responses that promote overall well-being. The integrated approach of breathwork, movement, and meditation comprise the model of nourishing the mind, body, and spirit.

Men’s Yoga
This is a course designed especially for men. It can be daunting to walk into a female dominated athletic practice. This one is for the men only. The hormones, anatomy and wellbeing of the male body has specific design to enhance hip mobility, back flexibility, shoulder flexibility and overall range of motion. This will improve the quality of movement of your biomechanics and overall well being. We will also work on the mental aspect of health to let go of things that don’t serve you to create a calm so that you can make rational responses to life’s demands.

Piano I
A group piano/keyboard class designed for beginners with little or no previous instruction. Concepts covered will include note and rhythm reading, development of aural skills, fundamental music theory, chord types, chord comping, improvisation, site reading, and more! By the end of this class students will be able to play all basic scales, chord patterns, beginner solo pieces, and read music fluently. Outside practice is essential to get the most out of this course. No required text. All materials will be provided. Enrollment restrictions – this class is for NON-MUSIC MAJORS only.

Salsa Dancing
This is an introductory course in the principles of Salsa dancing and social dance etiquette. Students will learn both how to lead and follow. Timing, directional movements, and dance positions will be addressed as well as the footwork all while having correct posture and poise throughout. A partner is not required. This is the most popular style of Salsa dancing known as LA Style Salsa (Salsa On 1). A variety of patterns and concepts will be covered so that it can be applied in a Salsa club out in the real world.

Yoga – ONLINE
This course will introduce the student to the fundamentals of Yoga postures and breathing, sequencing of exercises for a safe practice, ten or more postures, and an introduction to the history and philosophy of Yoga.
Please have a yoga/exercise mat and wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of movement. It is best not to eat for at least two hours before the class.
